Detection Work
Detection Work consists of K9 Teams detecting substances for Competition or Work. Detection Work involves K9 Teams detecting for substances such as explosives, illegal drugs, wildlife scat, currency, blood, or electronics such as missing mobile phones.

Detection Work competition is split up into two main sports: Scent Work and Track and Search.
Detection is a Pray Drive activity. The Dog has to work in Pray Drive to hunt for and flushing out a specific scent. When the dog finds that sent and marks it with a trained alert, the dog is immediately rewarded with a pray driven game.
Competing in detection work is an excellent way to build and strengthen the bond between you and your AustralisK9 Dobermann companion. Detection dogs are trained to detect and alert their human to the presence of very specific scents or odours. Detection sports are growing and expanding in popularity as people love to see the enthusiasm their K9 companions have for the sport. AustralisK9 Dobermanns excel in Scent Work and Track and Search, they love to perform.
